Keen Kai Café is a family-owned and operated café that was started by the patriarch of the Kai family, Ken who is of Japanese/ New Zealand decentm he started the Café as he wanted to bring together his love of New Zealand cusine and the use of organic produce . Our passion is creating organic food using fresh, high quality, local ingredients. We are also very passionate about the environment and use sustainable business practices and biodegradable packaging. Our café’s motto is: Whangaihia to tinana ki te kai organic that translates to ‘nourish your body with organic kai as we believe wellbeing starts with the food you eat.
